Across the street from the old church, this darling Frenchman was having an exposition of his lovely watercolors in his garage. He was pleased to show them off to me, a fellow artist. In my fractured French I gave him my respects. His sparkling eyes transmitted his love of life and art. And his beret and cartigan sweater suited him up perfectly. My mother towered over him in my original photo, but I let him be the star of his own show. I hope to find him again and give him a copy.
