I'm having fun finding authentic French flavor in the local scene. Robert uses the French model of sustainable, seasonal and organic ingredients, pioneered by our food maven Alice Waters, and followed by our true French restauranteur Pascal Rigo in his boulangeries and restaurants. Bravo!
Along with his Boulangerie de Polk, next door, this friendly neighborhood restaurant really livened up the block, and has a strong local following. Sunday brunch is a big hit, and evenings find it gussied up with linen tablecloths. Chat with friendly Kate, more fun than a cell phone.
