The spectacular Victorian architecture of San Francisco has delighted me since my move here from Boston twenty-eight years ago, and we were lucky to live in one for eighteen years. These "painted ladies" are a cherished treasure ofthe City, and the color combinations continue to enthrall me. In my ongoing Victorian series, I'm especially interested in the unusual turrets and round bay windows of the Queen Anne style. I also love incorporating the interesting foliage of flowering Eucalyptus and Palm trees. I like working large (43"x30") to give the viewer a feeling of being able to walk into the scene, and I continue to marvel at the wealth of artistic inspiration of these jewels of architecture
